The Norwegian Institute of Marine Research, department Molecular Biology Laboratory in Bergen, shall procure a flexible pipetting robot (liquid handler-robot, LH). The instrument shall be integrated in our production line for genotyping with next-generation sequencing (NGS), which is based on two stage PCR methodology. Thus the instrument will primarily be used for the construction of the NGS libraries and preparation of these for sequencing. The tasks that the instrument shall carry out include: i) Transferring DNA-templat, as well as adding master mixers and primers. ii) Cleaning PCR products (e.g. magnetic bullets) iii) Automated ("hands-off") quantification of DNA iv) Individual normalisation of libraries based on DNA concentration v) Merging of libraries The planned flow is 20,000– 30,000 samples per annum in a sample flow that will normally be carried out in 4 x 96 well plates with a reaction volume of 5-20 uL. In the future we envisage that 384 well plates will be a part of the test flow. As the instrument shall be used post-PCR, it is important that the instrument design allows effective cleaning and thorough decontamination. We would like a quick instrument with high capacity, pipetting precision and accuracy - even at low reaction volumes. In addition the robot is required to have great flexibility and an intuitive user interface, so that applications can be created and modified by personnel without advanced programming competence.

The objective of the procurement is to procure 2 water treatment plants to the laboratory at Voss Hospital at Helse Bergen HF. The water treatment plants shall supply 2 analysis instruments for clinical chemistry at the Hospital in Voss. Each treatment plant shall be able to supply 2 analysis instruments. The installations shall be complete and produce type 2 water from crane water, in accordance with the requirement for type 2 water. They shall also include a bacteria filter and UV radiation.

NTNU, Department of Electronic Systems is looking to buy high resolution and high dynamic range mid-infrared optical spectrumanalyzer for the purpose of characterization of nonlinear integrated photonic lasers and quantum light sources.

A continuous-flow Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) system with two additional modules: one for isotope analysis of solid samples and one for isotope analysis of trace gases.

The project shall plan and test the use of level meters in waste containers and containers for household and commercial waste. The technology shall provide continuous overview of the filling degree and emptying patterns, and changes in the use patterns. This shall enable need-based emptying, smarter route planning and lower resource use. The first phase is in 2026 and 2027 to form the basis for further investments in 2027-2029.

The framework agreement involves the assignment of establishing monitoring points of preservation conditions for archeological deposits from the Middle Ages through continuous logging of selected parameters. Some assignments are MOV level 2, which only involves extraction and analysis of samples. Often samples from profile, excavation or drilling point will be taken out by the archaeologist also delivered for analysis. Other assignments are MOV level 3, i.e. both sample taking, analyzing and installing environment monitoring equipment at selected locations in and outside the Medieval Norwegian towns. The preservation condition (MOV level 1) is documented by NIKU at the same time that samples are extracted for analysis and any equipment is assembled by the supplier.

The Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security needs multi-disciplinary and cross-sectoral knowledge connected to our areas of responsibility. The Ministry is responsible for the judiciary, correctional facilities, the police and prosecution authorities, the rescue service, public security, immigration authorities and the polar regions. The Ministry currently needs analyses, evaluations, and summaries of research/knowledge. Occasionally, the Ministry also needs knowledge on development in other sectors of the Norwegian society, with consequences for our own sector. This can be relevant for all of our responsible areas and it can vary from small analyses to more comprehensive evaluations, where relevant research-based knowledge is used. The framework agreement period is 2 years from contract signing. The contracting authority has the right to extend the framework agreement for a further 2 years (a maximum of 4 years altogether). The framework agreement's financial extent is estimated to be a minimum of NOK 800,000 excluding VAT and a maximum of NOK 6.4 million excluding VAT (NOK 8 million including VAT) per annum. The Ministry would like a flexible contract, with the scope each year based on the Ministry's actual need for analysis from year to year. The framework agreement is not exclusive.
