Orkland municipality shall procure winter maintenance services for purpose-built buildings to ensure good and predictable accessibility and traffic safety for all road user groups that travel along the purpose-built buildings. This means roads, foot/cycle paths, pavements, car parks, access to municipal purpose-built buildings etc. Private areas and private roads/exits are not included in the municipality ́s snow clearing scheme. Winter operations include snow clearing, gritting, re-clearing. The removal of snow is to be carried out in accordance with orders. Special focus areas in winter are safe school roads, soft road users and traffic safety.

The framework agreement is for winter operations on municipal roads: snow clearing, gritting, milling, inspections and inspections of requests for the contracting authority. The contracting authority is not obliged to procure a specific amount of services during the assignment period.

The services include: * Mechanical snow clearing, mechanical gritting, preventive salting on all properties, snow clearing and gritting in the driveways, hand clearing/milling of snow, removal of snow. * Filling up areas with gravel on all properties * Delivery of salt sacks and gravel for orders/needs * Spring cleaning that includes sweeping and flushing * Hand cleaning/milling at gates
